ChartLite

Charts in 15KB. No dependencies.

ChartLite is a charting library for content, not dashboards: the charts in articles, docs and reports. It draws plain SVG, so a chart can be rendered on a server and still works without JavaScript on the page.

Because the output is plain SVG with its data attached, an AI agent reading the page can read the chart's values, not just the picture, and agents can make charts directly through its tool server.

It is honest about what it is not for: real-time monitoring, millions of points, or fifty chart types.

What it does

  • Eight chart types: line, bar (grouped and stacked), area, scatter, pie and donut, radial, combo and sparkline
  • About 15KB gzipped, enforced in CI, with no dependencies
  • React, Vue and Svelte wrappers and a web component
  • Keyboard navigation and a screen-reader data table (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Version 1.1.0 on npm, MIT licensed
